What started out as an idea to raise awareness of men’s health has turned into a major Father’s Day event. The inaugural Run With Dad event was held in Darwin on Sunday, September 7, 2014 with more than 800 participants, and raised $20,000.

Since its inception in 2014, the Darwin event has raised well over $100,000 with close to 5,000 people taking part. Our 2019 event was another success, with 870 participants and raised just over $19,000. This money has been invested back into the Northern Territory for the ongoing costs for a full-time prostate cancer nurse.

Run With Dad has won the hearts of Territorians, and is only growing in popularity.

Participants can run or walk the 4km or 8km course – and there is also a 1km event for the kids! Pre-event, there is a heart-pumping warm-up lead by the awesome Fitness Works team, and coffee/food available. After the event, there are kids activities and a BBQ breakfast.
